OXFORD IN CHELLES 9ÈME EDITION – ETÉ 2020 – DAY 2

Join us on Day 2 as we take a look at the activities the campers got up too. We can only imagine how unfit we feel after months of staying home during Confinement and doing nothing . It’s time to sweat again!

SIMON SAYS « Put your hands up »!
Simons Says is a listening game whereby one player takes the role of « Simon » and issues instructions . The objective is to listen to the command of « Simons Says » if the Instructor issues any command without « Simon Says » the players are not to do anything, those who do are OUT!

Emma and Felix lead the class with showing us their fancy Zumba moves. Even though Emma is only 11 years old her Zumba moves are very impressive, she demonstrates to the rest of her classmates on which steps to follow next.
The students and teachers really “knocked it out of the park” with their exercise.
The students are really enjoying the Zumba exercise. It took them less than a day to learn all the steps. Zumba has basic four core steps, most of the dance is repetitive which makes it easier to understand. The fun part is watching the students add their own rhythm to it .
1 2 3…Let’s all count in English while we skip. The student who can get the most skips can win up to 100 points.
Akinyi and her classroom brainstorm on different ideas on creating a poster for their art activity.
The chosen song for this Summer Camp is « Lean on me. »This song encourages community and caring for each other through difficult times. We are stronger together. At Jack n’ Jill we encourage singing because it significantly helps improve the language with pronouncing words.
Students are always ready and excited for an English lesson. English is key to opportunities 🙂
