It’s day 3 already.. time really flies when you’re having fun. The campers art activities are coming along quite well. They’ve been putting in so much effort into creating their Halloween baskets, mosaic pumpkin art, Halloween tissue art and graffiti t-shirts.
Group 1 & 2 have 2 different art activities to do ,the first one is creating a pumpkin mosaic art. The objectives of art activities is for the campers to know how to use certain vocabulary to improve their English and help them practice their verbs . ‘To cut ‘ and « To stick » the pieces of paper .
For Group 5’s art project is designing a graffitti t-shirt . Being that Halloween is the theme of the camp there is a huge variety of ‘ scary ‘things to design .
The students in group 1 and 2 learnt a lot of new vocabulary from the Candyland board game. Verbs such as « to slide » « to move » and « to go »… were used repeatedly used during the game and they also learnt about shapes, colours and numbersLouis, Catherine and Eva all in Group 2 are all happy and excited to be at the Jack n’ Jill camp.
Group 5 is playing a game of Dodgeball. Dodgeball is a team sport in which players on two teams (Beavers vs. Otters) try to throw balls and hit opponents, while avoiding being hit themselves. They learn verbs such as « to throw », »to catch » and ‘to hit’. « Let’s get physical »! Group 4 is practising their Zumba dance which is a signature dance here at Jack n’ Jill.
